Horizon 8900QCP

You may have seen this cute little project in the shop, but we wanted to share the source with you here in case you'd like to make your very own! The fabric we used is the Tussie Mussie line by Jennifer Jangles along with this FREE pattern from Oliver and S. Lisette even designed a matching pattern for your child's favorite 18" doll!

If you've never worked with an O&S pattern before, you're in for a treat. These patterns are one of our favorite lines! The sizing is spot on and they are tested very well. I recommend these patterns to anyone interested in garment sewing because I know they'll end up with the results they're after!

Last night we rolled out the red carpet for all of our pin cushion fanatics!

Sew With Me hosted a Pin Cushion Parade, offering a night of pin cushion stories, sweets, and pin cushions (of course!)

It was so fun to see everyone's treasures, some of which have been passed down through generations. As makers, we are often sentimental, holding on to and treasuring the craftsmanship and beauty. This was apparent last night and if you weren't able to attend, we'd like to share some of those treasures with you today as well as some of the fun we had!

Yesterday, we had our first Kids Can Sew class! Since we love to sew on our Janome Hello Kitty machines, we felt it was only fitting to make this fun pin cushion as our first project!

The girls learned about sewing safety, working with a pattern and some hand embroidery. Thank you to our friends at Sew4Home for the pattern! This is such a fun little project.

Next month we're working on tote bags so the girls can bring their supplies to and from class. If you're interested in signing up, stop by the shop or give us a call!
