Duluth Wearable Quilts: Tamarack Jacket Class
Over the course of four guided classes, students will create a fully custom quilted jacket using the Tamarack Jacket pattern. Participants will have the freedom to choose their own fabric combinations and design layouts, resulting in a truly one of a kind garment.
Students will be walked through every step of the process, beginning with selecting fabrics and planning their design, then quilting the jacket pieces, and finally assembling the jacket with attention to construction and finishing techniques. Instruction will include tips for working with quilted layers, managing multiple garment pieces, and building confidence with more advanced sewing skills. By the end of the series, students will leave with a completed Tamarack Jack and a deeper understanding of at home quilting and outerwear construction.

| Skill Details: | This class is intended for intermediate sewers who are able to independently piece a quilt top and are comfortable working with a sewing machine. Students should have prior experience on basic with accurate cutting, piecing, and quilt assembly. Prior knowledge on basic garment construction is not required, but would be helpful. |
| Requirements: | Sewing machine in good working order, Thread of choice, Pins or clips, Seam ripper, Fabric scissors and regular scissors, Walking foot for their sewing machine, Tamarack Jacket pattern, Cutting mat, Rotary cutter, Heavy duty snaps, Batting of their choice, Fabric of their choice |
